This 21 year old mare entered the program in 1994 and has been with us ever since. She is a pretty mare who has an Arab-y look about her. Fanny has always been a pleasure to work with... easy to catch and very easy going. An old racing injury combined with her age has rendered her 'companion only' but this sweet old girl misses the one on one attention she had for years in her last adoptive home. Fanny is paired up with Color Me Khaki. The two have been together since 2004 and are very much in love. They live in our pasture in Virginia and eagerly await a sponsor or adopter to take them home.

This 19 year old multiple race winner and mother of two retired to a life as a riding horse in 2007. Arrow is only 9 years old, but his racing career ended when he injured one of his knees. This gentle gelding has a real tear jerking life story. After he was saved from the slaughter pen and rehabbed, poor Arrow got attacked by coyotes in his pasture. He managed to make a getaway and came away mostly unscathed. Poor Arrow wants the world to stop trying to eat him so he can be someone's pet. He will follow you around all day and loves having his long, flowing mane brushed for hours on end.

Quidditch

Quidditch is an absolute love who was being ridden consistently. A previous bout with EPM left Quidditch with some neurological symptoms, but she can fend for herself in a field with other horses. This sweetheart mare cannot be ridden, but she is only 8 and still has a lifetime ahead of her. Please call if you can sponsor or adopt this big-eyed cutie.
